Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB 2015)
- 05. July - 08. July 2015
- Clarion Congress Hotel, Prague
- Professional Congress Organiser - PCO
- Participants: 700
Along with 3 days of lectures and symposias, the congress programme consisted of precourses on variation of biomechanical topics - Short Course on Tissue Engineering; Combined experimental and modelling approach to clinical applications; Evaluation of implant stability; Custom made implants design and clinical application.
Plenary lectures were delivered by Jacob Klein (Weizmann Institute of Science). His interests in soft matter have ranged from the dynamics and interfacial properties of polymers to the behaviour of confined fluids and biological lubrication. Jeffrey A. Weiss (University of Utah) and Marcus Pandy (University of Melbourne) focuse on combining biomechanical experiments and computational modelling to describe and explain musculoskeletal function in healthy, injured and diseased states.
The scientific programme was accompanied by a rich social programme. The complete ESB program, both scientific and social, required high quality services. The C-IN team is honored to have been able to help make the first congress on biomechanics in Prague visited by 535 delegates from 41 countries around Europe.
