The Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) has become one of the largest specialized clinical and scientific research centres in the Czech Republic. It focuses mainly on the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, organ transplants, diabetology, and treatment of metabolic disorders. The Institute's main objective lies in continuous improvement of healthcare for patients and applying the latest scientific knowledge in its work.

Communication of Bad News III. was a course organized by the IKEM for medical employees on how to communicate bad news. The seminar took place at the Park Hotel Popovičky in Prague, Czech Republic from the 24th to 26th January 2013.
