The Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group (PTCOG), founded in 1985, is a non-profit worldwide organization uniting both scientists and professionals interested in proton, light ion and heavy charged particle radiotherapy. The ultimate goal of the PTCOG is to improve cancer treatment so that it meets the highest possible standards in radiation therapy. The 57th Annual Conference of the Particle Therapy Cooperative Group & 5th PTCOG-NA Meeting combines efforts of both the international group and its American subsidiary to achieve this goal. More than 1000 delegates were expected in Cincinnati.
PTCOG 57 is of particular importance to C-IN as it is the next step in a transitional period towards providing a full range of Core PCO services on a long-term basis to PTCOG. In cooperation with the local American hosts and PTCOG, C-IN organisied the scientific program, abstract management, registration, sponsorship and exhibition, the conference app and consultancy from our experience of previous PTCOG Conferences.
