Reflexion of the media age during the conference in Prague

The Prague Congress Centre is hosting the 6th European Communication Conference (ECREA 2016), the largest European conference on media and communication studies from the 9th to 12th of November, 2016. Holding an international scientific event such as ECREA 2016 is very important in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, where a critical study of media is still a relatively new phenomenon.
European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) is an international non-profit association providing a forum where researchers and others involved in communication and information research can meet and exchange information. Its disciplinary focus includes media, (tele)communications and informatics research, including relevant approaches of human and social sciences.
The European Communications Conference is held under the auspices of ECREA once in two years and it always attracted around 1200 scientists and academics from all around the world during the past editions. Organising its sixth conference in Prague was confided into the hands of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague. The professional organisational services were taken over by the company C-IN.
Since the beginning, the organisational team has been very willing to invest economic and human resources to prepare the best conference conditions for delegates. Apart from improved online forms, participants can use a sophisticated conference mobile app, which displays the conference program and floor plans, gives access to relevant speaker information and social interactivity via the delegate network. Organisers have been also extremely responsive to the need for an inclusive academic conference culture, and as a result, the Parents’ Guide to Prague has been created for delegates.
The participating C-IN team perceives collaboration with this client as very inspirational and with a positive vibe and we truly hope, that all delegates will enjoy the joint effort of the organisational team.

It goes without saying that the membership curve grows faster if the association holds a congress in that given year. Discounted registration fees and other benefits are an easy attraction.
