International Water Association visited Prague for inspection.

In one of our previous posts, we announced the official partnership between C-IN and the Czech Association for Water (CzWA) regarding the candidacy for the World Congress of the International Water Association (IWA) to 2020. In the process of this candidacy, members of the International Water Association came to Prague to discuss the conditions for organising the congress with the representatives of selected ministries, representatives of the City of Prague and the Rector of the University of Chemistry and Technology of Prague.
During the various meetings at the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Agriculture organisation of the IWA congress and it´s potential benefits for the professional sector as well as the destination itself were discussed. Part of the visit of Ger Bergkamp, IWA Executive Director, Keith Robertson, Operations and Congress Director and Roy Agterbos, Exhibition Manager was also an inspection of the Prague Congress Centre, a possible venue of IWA Congress in 2020.
The IWA congress is organised biennially and rotates on a worldwide basis. The number of participants increases with each congress. Therefore, Prague would welcome up to 5,000 experts in water science. C-IN has vast experiences with events of this range, for example EAIE 2014, ICM 2014 and ERA-EDTA 2011.
Candidacy is a challenging and long-term process with an uncertain end, especially with such a large prestigious event. However, C-IN is working towards to the IWA congress 2020 held in Prague with professional organisational services provided by the C-IN team.
