European Congress of Ecological Restoration
The 8th European Conference on Ecological Restoration in Ceske Budejovice has successfully run its course.
The Conference was held in the newly opened Clarion Congress Hotel Ceske Budejovice. The participants were welcomed by the mayor of the City of České Budějovice Dr. Juraj Thoma, by the rector of the University of South Bohemia RNDr. Libor Grubhoffer, CSc and by the dean of The Faculty of Science prof. RNDr. František Vácha, Ph.D. at the opening ceremony.
C-IN team successfully handled the demanding logistics and coordination of the project with 5 parallel sessions and an evening social programme for every day of the conference (i.e. Welcome reception, Classical concert, Conference dinner in Restaurant Masné krámy, Visit of the Budvar Brewery and a pleasant evening at the University campus with sponsored beer from Budweiser Budvar).
The nine scientific excursions were an important part of the programme. Delegates had a chance to visit the most interesting natural sites in South Bohemia, followed by the post-conference trips to Moravia, Hungary and around Bohemia. All tours were kindly sponsored by grant of the Visegrad Fund.
The organizers would also like to express their gratitude to local volunteers for their help during the preparation of the conference.
The 8th ECER conference has set a new standard of ECER conferences with a lot of positive feedback you can find in the section Testimonials.
