C-IN will start the season of autumn conferences abroad in Sofia, Bulgaria

The upcoming months will bring one congress after another for our team (more in the article here). In September alone, C-IN will hold a record eleven events, many of which are outside the Czech Republic. One of the first is the annual conference of the European Association for International Relations (EISA), which will take place in Sofia University. About a thousand delegates from around the world are expected.
The conference will start on Wednesday, September 11th, and a workshop for young doctoral students will be organized a day earlier. The program will also include the General Assembly of EISA members, which will officially present the newly elected committee of the association, led by President prof. Beate Jahn. The team of project manager Prokop Kolinsky will, therefore, be joined by the association manager of EISA, Van Anh Nguyen, in Sofia.
The ongoing theme of the congress will be "Visible and invisible in international relations". Preparations are being finalized and we will keep our fingers crossed for our team so that everything goes smoothly and with maximum success!
The EISA conference in Sofia is not the first cooperation with this association this year. In June, European Workshops on International Relations (EWIS) were held in Krakow. Within twenty-five workshops, EWIS created a space for debate on the future direction of this field, which symbolically celebrated its 100th anniversary in Krakow.

Growing your Association´s membership base: Communication is key
It goes without saying that the membership curve grows faster if the association holds a congress in that given year. Discounted registration fees and other benefits are an easy attraction. But what if the conference is held every two or even three years? The expectations for the number of members are logically lower, but one should not simply disregard this as a non-congress year.
