The Prague Convention Bureau has organised the Ambassador Awards Evening, where congress ambassors are awarded, since 2010. In the categories (Congress of the Year, Candidacy of the Year, Long-term contribution to congress tourism, Special Award of Prague Congress Centre, Corporate event of the year), efforts in the field of Prague congress tourism development of eminent scientists and leading experts are appreciated, especially because these activities are beyond their professional achievements. The Ambassador Awards is strenghted by support of Mayor of Prague, Adriana Krnáčová.
One of the main categories – Congress of the Year for 2014, was won by The 26th Annual Conference of the European Association of International Education (EAIE 2014), which was held in the Prague Congress Centre from the 16th - 19th of September 2014. The major event of last year brought more than 5000 delegates from 90 different coutries to the city of Prague. At this conference, the Prague Congress Centre experienced one of the largest exhibitions since its foundation, where the most prestigious educational institutions in the world were presented.
The prize for Congress of the Year was granted to Mgr. Lucie Sedláková, representative of Ministry of Education Youth and Sports of Czech Republic. The C-IN team cooperated with her and her colleaugues on the candidacy and afterwards worked hard on communication with delegates and organising pre-conference activities along with securing accommodation for more than half of the participants. Professional conference service provided by C-IN, which was already appreciated by the delegates themselves, thus contributed to the success of this prestigious event.
Amongst the official Ambassador Programme’s Goals belong appreciating congress ambassadors for their contribution to the meeting industry as well as for representing the Czech Republic and also increasing the potential of congresses in the city of Prague and throughout the Czech Republic. In the case of EAIE 2014, the goals were fullfilled perfectly.
The PCB Ambassador Awards for the 2014 has become the next in line when at least one of the categories was won by congress supported by C-IN at various stages of the project. C-IN is honored by this appreciation of its professional congress service.
