7TH SYMPOSIUM OF THE STUDY GROUP ON THE GENETICS OF DIABETES (EASD-SGGD)
A scientific meeting of extraordinary importmance will take place in the complex of lecture halls of the Hospital in Motol from 16.-18. May 2019 - the 7th Symposium of the Study Group on the Genetic of Diabetes (SGGD), which is part of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD).
More than a hundred of the world's leading doctors and scientists from 24 countries will come to Prague to research the genetic nature of diabetes. Within the three days, they will give lectures in Motol lecture-rooms on the results of their research over the past two years. Together they will look for ways to best help people with diabetes by better understanding the nature of their illness. In the opinion of some experts, the time is approaching for determining the genetic nature of diabetes for each patient to find the most appropriate treatment for them – with the aim to prevent serious diabetes complications and maintain the best quality and length of their life. The upcoming meeting will undoubtedly bring a number of new key findings in this regard.
