C-IN promotes the conference on proton therapy in San Diego, USA.

Members of the C-IN team are in San Diego in these days to observe and learn from the ongoing meeting of the Particle Therapy Co-operative Group (PTCOG), but also to meet the scientific comittee and promote the next meeting, which will be organised by C-IN in the Prague Congress Centre at the end of May, 2016.

The Particle Therapy Co-operative Group is a non-profit organisation for those interested in proton, light ion and heavy charged particle radiotherapy, which annualy initiates a meeting for more than 1000 experts from the industry.

The C-IN team traveled to sunny California with members of local organising comittee, who act at the Proton Therapy Center in Prague, the modern clinical center for treatment of patients with cancer. Proton therapy allows a wider range of cancer treatments close to vital organs and is recently one of the most promising methods in the treatment of oncological diseases.

Amongst the main goals of the visit belonged the meeting with members of the scientific comittee which was historicaly the first on this occasion. They discussed the conditions and complete set up and content of the scientific program for the next conference. Meeting the president of PTCOG himself has brought a lot of experiences as well as some recommendations and improvements for the Prague meeting. Last but least, promoting the PTCOG 2016 in Prague during the conference in San Diego will hopefully help to bring more delegates to Prague.

PCO services are not limited only to onsite activities. It is very long process ranging from candidacy through promoting the conference all around the world and setting parameters for the registration and scientific program to onsite communication with delegates. Every single project brings new challenges, however, C-IN has a professional team who takes them on with a smile.
